2023 Hansoom Jeolgi
Important Information (Please read!)
- Design: The 2023 poster and journal are brand new designs. The 2023 journal is mostly similar in content to the 2022 journal but has updated dates for 2023 and some text revisions. We invite those who do not want to purchase the updated version to continue using the 2022 journal and refer to new dates on our Instagram (link below).
- Pricing: We offer three pricing options here to make the jeolgi more accessible. Those who elect to pay more allow us to offer reduced pricing and sliding scale pricing for those who request it.
- Sliding Scale/Sponsorship: We have a limited quantity of jeolgi that we can offer at a lower price than what is available here. If you are interested, please contact us at [email protected] with “jeolgi sliding scale” in the title. We also post the journal information for each season in our stories and highlights so everyone has access to this information. If you’re interested in sponsoring a purchase for someone, send us an email with “jeolgi sponsor” in the title.
International Orders: For orders to be shipped outside of the U.S. and Canada, please email us at [email protected] with "international order" in the title.
Description
The Hansoom Jeolgi Calendar and Journal is a physical calendar poster of the 24 solar terms traditionally used by the Korean people, accompanied by a journal. The first season in the Jeolgi is 입춘 (Ipchoon), which begins on February 4, 2023, and the last season is 대한 (Daehan) which ends in February of 2024.
With your purchase, you will receive the following items:
- One 12x18 poster
- One journal
For each Jeolgi season, the journal provides the dates of the new or full moon, important dates and holidays in Korean culture, information about what is traditionally done during the season or a particular holiday, and an invitation to a seasonal ritual. While certain dates and moons are precise for North America, each ritual was created with deep intention as to be accessible to Koreans living anywhere in the diaspora. For each season, you will also find a page to write down any reflections about the season, your activities, and what comes up for you.
